The Legal Stuff

This is where I put the stuff I have to say to make the lawyers happy.

From the "well, duh!" department

Jewelry contains small parts and is not recommended for use by small children. By choosing to purchase any of this jewelry and allowing a child to wear it, you assume liability for the safety of that child. Always supervise your child if you decide to allow them to wear jewelry and never let them put it in their mouth or sleep with it on.

Gemstone quality

None of the gemstones or pearls in my work should be considered "investment quality". Unless otherwise noted, you should assume that the stones have been ehnanced in some manner. The term "enhanced" is defined to be any treatment process other than cutting and polishing that improves the appearance of a gemstone.

For an explanation of gemstone ehnancement go to Wikipedia's Gemstone page, or if you really want to see more than you care to read, google the term "gemstone enhancement".

A special note for California residents

California law states that if you operate a mail order business where customers from California may order any products containing lead (including jewelry that contains Swarovski crystals) that the sellers must supply them with the following warning:

Prop 65 Warning

Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal products or handling products made of leaded crystal will expose you to lead -- a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.
